Young Adults from New Jersey find Healing from Wilderness Therapy

With high expectations during the crucial transitional period of young adulthood, it is no wonder that so many young men and women struggle during this time. Wilderness therapy for New Jersey young men and women presents a transformative opportunity for change and growth in a short amount of time.

Some of the young people that come to us are struggling with academic pressure, others are having difficulty finding the motivation they need to pursue their dreams. No matter what our young adults are having difficulty with, wilderness therapy is a powerful therapeutic intervention that helps interrupt negative thinking and behavior patterns. By understanding their core beliefs, students can work on getting rid of beliefs that are not serving them while also replacing them with healthy, positive core beliefs.

Finding Real, Lasting Change at Wilderness Therapy For New Jersey Young Adults

BlueFire Pulsar’s young adult wilderness therapy program works with men and women ages 18-28. Our program is designed to work with the unique needs of this age group, like communication skills, transition planning, adventure therapy, and more. The overarching goal of the program is to achieve healthy relationships and developing independence. Located in Idaho, BlueFire Pulsar works with young adults from New Jersey to become the best version of themselves.

How can three months of wilderness therapy provide life-long change? Wilderness therapy offers a transformative experience that helps young adults see themselves - and their choices - more clearly. Nature doesn’t react to manipulation and other behavioral patterns the same way people do - these actions have consequences. It is a powerful realization for young adults to see the results of their decisions and choices right in front of them. At BlueFire Pulsar, this happens with the support of experienced therapists, dedicated field guides, and an empowering peer group.

Empowering Young Adults from New Jersey through Adventure Therapy

Nestled among the scenic high plains in southern Idaho, BlueFire Pulsar works with New Jersey young adults they need to focus some time on themselves to grow and heal. Our Adventure Therapy Program has activities that are designed to be appropriately difficult. There are a variety of activities and the young adult students will achieve some with ease while others will be more difficult - and this is intentional. By getting students out of their comfort zone, we are shifting them towards growth and change.

Daily Activities for Long-term Change

Each of the activities that we incorporate into our day-to-day schedule is intentionally there to encourage independence and improving self-sufficiency. Examples include waking with the sunrise, daily meditative and yoga practices, group therapy, and meal preparation. This helps us ensure that our students are developing the skills they need to guide themselves, both now and in the future.
