Young Adults from Nevada find Healing from Wilderness Therapy

With all the societal pressures on young people today, it is no surprise that many young adults struggle with successfully transitioning from adolescence to adulthood. Wilderness therapy for Nevada young adults offers a unique and pivotal opportunity to find clarity, purpose, and self in a short amount of time.

Some of the young people that come to us are struggling with academic pressure, others are having difficulty finding the motivation they need to pursue their dreams. No matter what our young adults are having difficulty with, wilderness therapy is a powerful therapeutic intervention that helps interrupt negative thinking and behavior patterns. By looking at their core beliefs, we can begin to unravel these patterns and replace them with new, healthy beliefs and choices.

Finding Real, Lasting Change at Wilderness Therapy For Nevada Young Adults

BlueFire Pulsar’s young adult wilderness therapy program works with men and women ages 18-28. The program is specifically designed for working with the distinct needs of this age group, including transferable skills, adventure therapy, and transition planning. The goal is healthy relationships (with self and others) and gaining independence. Located in Idaho, BlueFire Pulsar works with young adults from Nevada to become the best version of themselves.

How can a three-month program offer lasting change? With wilderness therapy, young adults participate in a life-changing opportunity that helps them see themselves for who they really are. Nature doesn’t react to manipulation and other behavioral patterns the same way people do - these actions have consequences. It is transformative for young adults to see the impacts of their decisions in real-time. Of course, this is all done with the help of highly trained therapists, experienced field guides, and a supportive peer group.

Empowering Young Adults from Nevada through Adventure Therapy

Located in the beautiful high plains desert in south central Idaho, BlueFire Pulsar helps young adults from Nevada and across the country recognize and build their sense of self-worth. Our Adventure Therapy Program has activities that are designed to be appropriately difficult. There are a variety of activities and the young adult students will achieve some with ease while others will be more difficult - and this is intentional. By encouraging students to get out of their comfort zones, we can foster growth and change they never thought possible.

Daily Activities for Long-term Change

All of the day-to-day activities in our program are designed to foster self-sufficiency and independence. This includes waking up with the sunrise, daily yoga and meditation, goal setting, meal preparation, and group. We want to make sure that young adults have the strengths and capabilities to guide themselves in life.

Comprehensive Clinical Programming

Providing a current, in the moment feedback loop is incredibly powerful for young adults. They are able to recognize their strengths and areas of growth and understand negative patterns. Our program offers the most hours of therapy compared to any other wilderness program with:

- Weekly equine therapy.

- Weekly adventure therapy.

- Family programming specific to each client’s needs.

- Two days of individual therapy.

- Four days of group therapy.

- Four days of therapy per week with therapeutic professionals.
