Young Adults from Minnesota find Healing from Wilderness Therapy

With all the societal pressures on young people today, it is no surprise that many young adults struggle with successfully transitioning from adolescence to adulthood. Wilderness therapy for Minnesota young men and women presents a transformative opportunity for change and growth in a short amount of time.

Some young women and men struggle to launch into successful academic careers, others find a lack of motivation to pursue their highest dreams. Whatever young adults are struggling with, wilderness therapy provides a therapeutic program to uncover these negative thought and behavior patterns. By helping students identify their core beliefs, we can start to remove unhealthy thought patterns and replace them with positive beliefs that support the changes they are making.

Finding Real, Lasting Change at Wilderness Therapy For Minnesota Young Adults

BlueFire Pulsar is a wilderness therapy program for young adults ages 18-28. Our program is designed to work with the unique needs of this age group, like communication skills, transition planning, adventure therapy, and more. While individual goals vary, our mission is to help each client achieve independence and healthy relationships. Based in Idaho, BlueFire Pulsar supports Minnesota young adults as they rediscover their true selves.

How can a three-month program offer lasting change? Wilderness therapy offers a transformative experience that helps young adults see themselves - and their choices - more clearly. Because nature does not react to manipulation techniques, the behavior patterns that young adults arrive with have real consequences. It is powerful for young adults to see the effects and results of their choices - both positive and negative - in real-time. Of course, this is all done with the help of highly trained therapists, experienced field guides, and a supportive peer group.

Empowering Young Adults from Minnesota through Adventure Therapy

Nestled among the scenic high plains in southern Idaho, BlueFire Pulsar works with Minnesota young adults they need to focus some time on themselves to grow and heal. Our adventure therapy program is designed to include activities that we can scale to the appropriate level of difficulty. There are a variety of activities and the young adult students will achieve some with ease while others will be more difficult - and this is intentional. By coupling successful experiences with others that get students out of their comfort zone, we can help nudge them closer to change and growth.

Daily Activities for Long-term Change

All of the day-to-day activities in our program are designed to foster self-sufficiency and independence. Some of these activities include: waking at sun-up, daily meditation and goal, individual and group goal setting, meal prep, and group therapy. We want our students to feel empowered to move forward, knowing they have the skills and capabilities to thrive.

Comprehensive Clinical Programming

Providing a current, in the moment feedback loop is incredibly powerful for young adults. They are able to recognize their strengths and areas of growth and understand negative patterns. Our program offers the most hours of therapy compared to any other wilderness program with:

- Four days of group therapy.

- Weekly adventure therapy.

- Four days each week of clinical support from therapeutic professionals.

- Two days of individual therapy.

- Weekly equine therapy.

- Family programming specific to each client’s needs.
