Young Adults from Massachusetts find Healing from Wilderness Therapy

With all the high pressures on young adults today, it is no wonder that many young people struggle with the transition into emerging adulthood. Wilderness therapy for Massachusetts young adults offers a unique and pivotal opportunity to find clarity, purpose, and self in a short amount of time.

Some of the young people that come to us are struggling with academic pressure, others are having difficulty finding the motivation they need to pursue their dreams. No matter what our young adults are having difficulty with, wilderness therapy is a powerful therapeutic intervention that helps interrupt negative thinking and behavior patterns. By helping students identify their core beliefs, we can start to remove unhealthy thought patterns and replace them with positive beliefs that support the changes they are making.

Finding Real, Lasting Change at Wilderness Therapy For Massachusetts Young Adults

BlueFire Pulsar’s wilderness therapy program serves you adults ages 18-28. Our program is designed to work with the unique needs of this age group, like communication skills, transition planning, adventure therapy, and more. While individual goals vary, our mission is to help each client achieve independence and healthy relationships. Based in Idaho, BlueFire Pulsar supports Massachusetts young adults as they rediscover their true selves.

How can three months of wilderness therapy provide life-long change? With wilderness therapy, young adults participate in a life-changing opportunity that helps them see themselves for who they really are. Because nature does not react to manipulation techniques, the behavior patterns that young adults arrive with have real consequences. It is powerful for young adults to see the effects and results of their choices - both positive and negative - in real-time. BlueFire Pulsar does this with the help of skilled clinicians, experienced guides, and the encouraging peer group.

Empowering Young Adults from Massachusetts through Adventure Therapy

Located in the beautiful high plains desert in south central Idaho, BlueFire Pulsar helps young adults from Massachusetts and across the country recognize and build their sense of self-worth. Our Adventure Therapy Program has activities that are designed to be appropriately difficult. There are a variety of activities and the young adult students will achieve some with ease while others will be more difficult - and this is intentional. By getting students out of their comfort zone, we are shifting them towards growth and change.

Daily Activities for Long-term Change

Each of the activities that we incorporate into our day-to-day schedule is intentionally there to encourage independence and improving self-sufficiency. Some of these activities include: waking at sun-up, daily meditation and goal, individual and group goal setting, meal prep, and group therapy. This helps us ensure that our students are developing the skills they need to guide themselves, both now and in the future.

Comprehensive Clinical Programming

Our setting allows for in-the-moment feedback that is a powerful tool for our young adult students. With this, young adults are able to see their strengths and areas of growth in real time. BlueFire Pulsar provides the most clinical hours of any other wilderness therapy program, which includes:

- Family programming specific to each client’s needs.

- Four days of therapeutic support each week from clinical professionals.

- Weekly adventure therapy.

- Two days of individual therapy.

- Weekly equine therapy.
