Young Adults from Maine find Healing from Wilderness Therapy

With high expectations during the crucial transitional period of young adulthood, it is no wonder that so many young men and women struggle during this time. Wilderness therapy for Maine young adults offers a unique and pivotal opportunity to find clarity, purpose, and self in a short amount of time.

Some young adults are struggling with life at college while others are having trouble with work and relationships. No matter what our young adults are having difficulty with, wilderness therapy is a powerful therapeutic intervention that helps interrupt negative thinking and behavior patterns. By looking at their core beliefs, we can begin to unravel these patterns and replace them with new, healthy beliefs and choices.

Finding Real, Lasting Change at Wilderness Therapy For Maine Young Adults

BlueFire Pulsar’s young adult wilderness therapy program works with men and women ages 18-28. The program is specifically designed for working with the distinct needs of this age group, including transferable skills, adventure therapy, and transition planning. While individual goals vary, our mission is to help each client achieve independence and healthy relationships. Based in Idaho, BlueFire Pulsar supports Maine young adults as they rediscover their true selves.

How can a short-term program inspire enduring change? Wilderness therapy offers a transformative experience that helps young adults see themselves - and their choices - more clearly. Nature doesn’t react to manipulation and other behavioral patterns the same way people do - these actions have consequences. It is a powerful realization for young adults to see the results of their decisions and choices right in front of them. BlueFire Pulsar does this with the help of skilled clinicians, experienced guides, and the encouraging peer group.
