Mental Health is a growing concern in our society. The National Alliance on Mental Illness reports that 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. experiences mental illness in a given year. Mental health issues can lead to problems with work, school, and personal relationships. If left untreated, it can cause a person to become isolated and withdrawn from society. Early intervention and treatment are essential to helping people with mental illness live happy, productive lives.

There are many factors that contribute to mental health problems. Some people are born with a genetic predisposition to mental illness. Others may develop mental health problems after experiencing trauma or stress. Still, others may use substances to self-medicate, which can lead to addiction and further mental health problems.

How We Support Your Mental Health

Pulsar Wilderness therapy helps our emerging adults suffering with mental health issues in a variety of ways. Wilderness therapy itself is a great way to start on the path of healing, providing our clients with a sense of peace that is hard to find in the hustle of everyday life. This gives our clients the space they need to reflect on their lives and figure out what is causing them distress or the dysregulation of their mental health. Nature, and being in the great outdoors, is another great benefit for the mental health of emerging adults. This calming and grounding atmosphere is an ideal place to work on oneself and build on skills needed in the modern world such as problem-solving, teamwork, and communication.
On top of all the wonderful healing benefits of being and working in nature we at blueFire PulsaR also utilize a variety of therapies to best suit our clients and their needs. We want our young adults to find their passion and have the tools they need to manage their mental health, their future goals, and find happiness.
