Meet Andrea

Andrea, her husband, and their chocolate lab Beau enjoy living in Gooding, Idaho. They can be found hiking and exploring the area most weekends.

Andrea attended Western Governors University for her B.S. in Business Management. Having worked in multiple office settings from e-commerce to dentistry, Andrea is excited to be able to join the blueFire team and expand her skills to the office side of mental health.

Growing up in Western Washington, Andrea and her family did a lot of backpacking and hiking which fueled her want to never stop exploring. Always actively involved in her youth group, she eventually became a full-time staff member and co-director, with her husband, of their little club of fourteen.

Whether it was the weekly meetings teaching life skills, or the weekend trips backpacking, rock climbing, caving, white water rafting, snow caving & mountain biking; she has always enjoyed teaching young people different skills. It is quite rewarding to experience with a child or teen the feeling of overcoming fear and the confidence that is gained when trying new things in nature.

Knowing how powerful and healing the outdoors can be, Andrea was amazed when she discovered blueFire and all they do for young people. Although she is not in the field with the clients, she is excited to be supporting them from the office.

Andrea’s favorite quote is something her dad would tell her while growing up.
“Mistakes happen, it’s how we handle them that determines their outcome.”

Being a part of blueFire gives her the ability to continue supporting young people on a daily basis, instead of just a weekly basis as they get connected to the outdoors and challenge themselves to become the best versions of themselves and succeed in life.
